Gift Card Terms

These terms apply to every GustoSi gift card, whether you bought it on our website or we issued it to you. By buying a gift card you agree to them. If you give the card to someone else, these terms apply to them when they use it, so please let them know where to find them: gustosi.co.uk/gift-cards/terms.

We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your card are the ones in place when it was bought.

Gift cards are issued by GustoSi, 188 Leigh Road, Leigh-on-Sea, Essex SS9 1BT. You can call us on 01702 472744 or speak to us in the restaurant.

• Gift cards are available in £10, £25, £50 and £100. There are no booking or service fees.
• Payment is taken securely by our payment provider, Stripe. Once payment is complete we email the gift card to the address you gave us as a printable PDF, with a unique code in the format GS-XXXX-XXXX. You can print it or forward the email to the person you are giving it to.
• If the email hasn't arrived within an hour, please check your spam or junk folder and then contact us so we can resend it.
• Gift cards cannot be used to buy other gift cards.

Each gift card is valid for 24 months (2 years) from the date of purchase. It can be used up to and including the “valid until” date printed on the card and shown in your email. After that date it can no longer be used and has no value.

The date printed on your card is the one that applies to it.

• Your gift card can be used towards food and drink when you dine in with us at GustoSi, 188 Leigh Road, Leigh-on-Sea.
• It can only be used at GustoSi. It cannot be used at any other restaurant, including Flying Pasta.
• It cannot be used for tips, gratuities or service charges.
• It cannot be exchanged for cash, in whole or in part.

• Book a table by calling 01702 472744 (walk-ins are welcome, subject to availability).
• Before you pay, tell your server you have a gift card and show us the code, either printed or on your phone. We will check it and mark it as used.
• One gift card can be used per bill, unless the manager agrees otherwise.

Each gift card is used in full in a single visit. If your bill is more than the value of the card, you simply pay the difference. If your bill is less than the value of the card, the remaining value is lost: we cannot give change, credit, a remaining balance or cash.

Tip: choose a card value close to what you expect to spend.

Please treat your gift card code like cash. Anyone who has the code can use the card, and we accept a valid code from whoever shows it to us. Once we have emailed the gift card to the address given when it was bought, we are not responsible if the code is lost, stolen or used by someone else.

If this happens, contact us as soon as possible. If the card has not been used, we may, at our discretion, cancel it and issue a replacement.

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you can cancel your gift card within 14 days of buying it and get a full refund, as long as the card has not been used. Once the card has been used, the right to cancel is lost.

To cancel, call us on 01702 472744 or reply to your gift card email, giving the gift card code. Refunds are made to the original payment method, normally within 14 days of us agreeing the cancellation. The cancelled card can no longer be used.

We may refuse to accept, or cancel, a gift card that we reasonably believe was bought or obtained fraudulently or unlawfully, has been copied or altered, or whose payment has been reversed or disputed. Where we cancel a card for these reasons it has no value.

We use the details you give us when buying a gift card only to provide and manage the card. Our privacy notice explains what we collect, why, and your rights.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.
